Abstract
In this paper, we present a scheme for data processing of a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FM-CW) coastal surveillance Radar. This Radar is currently being constructed at the Research Centre for Electronics and Telecommunication of the Indonesian Institute of sciences (PPET-LIPI). The incoming data obtained from an analog to digital converter (ADC) is stored in a defined format. Then, this data are processed by two steps; signal processing-based computations and graphical user interface (GUI)-based presentation. The results of data processing are depicted on a display of a PC monitor. Parameter involved in the data processing scheme and data acquisition are shown next to the radar display. Information and parameters following the international maritim organization (IMO) regulations are also shown. The radar display is overlapped with a digital map of the Radar's geographics location. One of the objectives of this research is to obtain a friendly and easy-to-use Radar display and control interface. Some results of the Radar display are presented in this paper. In the future work, some improvement will be performed to make the GUI Radar display better and more comprehensive.
